On Wednesday, November 16th at 7:00pm, Our Lady's Immaculate Heart Catholic Church in Ankeny will be hosting a forum on Homelessness in Central Iowa. The forum will feature a panel of speakers, including youth that have been homeless, discussing homelessness in Central Iowa and ways to address the problem. Also, from 6:30pm to 9:00pm, local agencies will have booths set up that explain the services they provide to serve the homeless. Please come and learn more about the problem of homelessness here in Iowa and how to help address the problem. Also, if desired, bring an item that is often in short supply in organizations that serve the homeless including large garbage bags, diapers, feminine hygiene items and toilet paper.
